This is a hands on role, preparing a broad variety of component parts and assembling them into finished ‘system elements’ that are then used to construct Servotest ‘systems’ before shipment to our customers worldwide. The components and assemblies made are manufactured to high tolerances and are typically large, requiring careful and sensitive handling and control.

Responsible for producing manufacturing packages of mechanical ‘System Elements’ comprising of General Assembly drawings (GA’s), detail manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BoM’s) and entering the data onto the manufacturing system to allow procurement. ‘System Elements’ are typically Actuators, Solenoid control manifolds, Cardan Bearings and Load cells.

This is an important role within the engineering team, requiring a working knowledge of both overall systems and their components and is central in validating the needs of the customer, from pre-sales, through to customer sign off. The role requires good working knowledge of control systems used for medium to large industrial mechanical / hydraulic products.

As a member of the software team, this role requires an understanding of how our software needs to work to provide our customers with the simulation testing they do. Therefore, an understanding of our systems and the system elements is necessary to ensure best in class software is created to aid our customer’s control.
