BI-AXIAL VIBRATION
Bi-axial vibration systems
Developed on a bespoke basis Servotest can offer a number of bi-axial vibration system configurations.
The image shown illustrates a short-stroke high-frequency bi-axial configuration with longitudinal and vertical motions. The table is coupled to the actuators via flexural elements which transmit the loads required to generate the vibrational motions while also providing sufficient lateral compliance in-axis and constraint off-axis.
The vertical actuator layout also provides a high level of over-turning moment restraint. These systems are used to study vibration in ship-board marine applications.
