Job Title: Field Service / Calibration Engineer
Responsible to: Director of Support Services
Position Overview
The Field Service/Calibration Engineer is responsible for coordinating visits to customer sites ensuring relevant Health and Safety documents are provided. Reporting directly to and working with the Director of Support Services this varied role will involve working all over the UK and Europe with occasional international work when needed. Co-ordinating with elements such as Engineering Design, Production, Software and Documentation to ensure the customer requirements are satisfied whilst the job remains on time and within budget.
The role requires a good understanding of servo-hydraulic systems along with their electronic controllers and processing software. Experience in transducer calibration would be beneficial although comprehensive training will be given. The engineer will also provide maintenance/service support to customers as required.
The scale of each customer project will vary from a single actuator to an entire multi-actuator system and coping with the difference in operational complexity is a key element, as such this is an exciting and diverse role and would interest and excite anyone with this level of engineering background.
