Following on from the successful installation of a heavy-duty 6-post ride-simulation system for truck durability testing at Sichuan Hyundai Motor Company (CHMC) in China during 2014, Servotest has received three more orders for systems of this type within the last 8 months.
These systems will be used for duability testing bus, coach and other speciality vehicles by leading manufacturers in this sector, specifically
- The Golden Dragon Bus Company Limited, based in Xiamen, Fujian province
- The Higer Bus Company Limited, based in Suzhou, Jiangsu province
- The Zhongtong Bus Holding Company Limited, based in Shandong province.
All of these systems benefit from high-capacity hydrostatic-bearing servo-actuators with fully-integrated and automated hydraulic pre-load support. These low-friction actators utilise Servotest's own design of 3-stage servovalves and can deliver high-fidelity time-domain motion replication at velocities up to 3 m/s and accelerations in the region of 22 to 27g at the wheel-pan.
The rigs are controlled using Servotest's Pulsar disitributed digital servo-control system via an operator-interface that is taylored to each specific customer's requirements.
Hydraulic power is provided by expandable high-capacity water-cooled hydrauic power units, driven by 8x 132kW motor/pump units, working together to deliver 2,000lpm of hydraulic flow at 280bar.
Guided wheel-base & track-width adjusment is achieved using a proven manual lock/unlock system with machine ball-lifters to support actuator repositioning without an over-head crane.
