On the morning of 4th March, Servotest and BBK signed a technical agreement with Southeast University (SEU), China for supply of a new large high-performance seismic simulation testing table at SEU’s Civil Engineering Institute.
The Signing ceremony marked the culmination of five year of preparation work. SEU’s new seismic simulation table will be a large 6m x 9m (expandable to 9m x 9m) full 6-degree-of-freedom motion platform. It will be capable of simulating near-fault earthquake movement, supporting research into civil engineering structures, electrical & electronic equipment respone and transport simulation. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2017. The size & performance of this system will make it the leading single-tabel system within China.
The signing ceremony was hosted by vice chief of SEU laboratory and equipment management division Mr Liu Jiabin. The agreement was signed by Mr Xiong Hongqi, Mr Shu Ganping, Mr Brian Ferris and Mr Zhang Yanshen.

- Mr Shu Ganping - Vice president of SEU’s Civil Engineering Institute
- Mr Zong Zhouhong - Head of Lab center
- Mr Brian Ferris - Sales Director of Servotest
- Mr Zhang Yanshen - General Manager of BBK
During the ceremony, Mr Xiong Hongqi outlned his expectations. He hoped the cooperative sides could actively assist one another to ensure the program can be executed according to schedule, design work can be conducted prudently to promise technical performances meeting technical agreement requirement and impactful and timely communication between all sides to guarantee the project progress.
